HEAR
in New Hampshire’s
Families, Infants and Toddlers Play Group is in its fifth year.
The goal of this program is to provide young children (birth
through age three) who are deaf or hard of hearing with opportunities
for socialization and play with other children like themselves.
Additionally, the play group provides support to families as
they begin to learn about hearing loss and its impact on communication.
Through
direct teaching, modeling, and varied play experiences, the
staff provides opportunities for parents to observe and
practice the techniques necessary for optimizing their child’s
speech, language and listening skills.
The
FIT’s play group meets at HEAR in New Hampshire on Wednesdays
from 2 - 4 PM.
There are three, ten week sessions available throughout the
school year. Families may register for one, two or three sessions.
This
is a very
popular
group and space is limited so please call ahead to check on
availability.
